Google's Chromecast, the $35 media streaming stick powered by your mobile apps, is about to get a lot more useful. As you are probably aware, the device is capable, easy to use, and cheap; however, the selection of apps that support it are limited as of yet. Today, Google decided to let loose the Chromecast SDK, which means that developers can now release their "Google Cast enabled" applications without needing to go through Google.
We expect to see apps popping up in Google Play and the App Store pretty much anytime. Many developers have already been working on Chromecast support and just needed the SDK to drop before they were allowed to release their app. Any apps that you've specifically been waiting for?
