Hello, just got the One on AT&T. Phone is awesome but one thing I noticed is that my backlight seems to flicker very slightly on white screens. It's only slight butif you stare at it you can definitely see it. Is this normal? Anyone else having this issue? If so any suggestions or feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I've seen this elsewhere. Appears to happen with auto brightness on. Also seems somewhat common with LCD panels, as my and many others' Nexus 7 does it too.

Do you think I should return and try for a better one?

If it's widespread? Nope.

Would be betting against the odds. Doesn't hurt though to see what they say, after all, you did pay good money!

I notice the same thing but like you said it's very slightly so it doesn't bother me enough to return it for another. Plus I notice my N7 does the same thing ever since I updated to 4.2 so I think it's an Android thing.

okay thanks. I think you're right with it being the auto brightness. I'm going to try taking it off auto and see if it helps. Like I said it's very slightly so I guess I can live with it.

Yup. Or a panel thing. I turned off auto brightness weeks ago and have yet to see it, so I think it's directly related, at least in my experience.

I had the same issue on my One, but I noticed it one day and haven't noticed it since.  Auto-brightness has never been turned off either.
