So I'm in need of a record player.  No, I'm not becoming a DJ.  I recently purchased a box set, and with it comes vinyl.  Remembering back to my ye olde days of living with my parents, vinyl always sounded cool as shit, so me getting some is a welcome to addition.

Any recommendations?  Preferably something that includes a USB port.  I'd like it to be part of my entertainment system (which right now includes a TV and a cheap Blu Ray), so anything that facilitates that is a bonus.

Thank you :)

I collect vinyl, and I have a "Grundig" German Stereo console from the late 50's - early 60's exactly like the one pictured below. My sister in law on the other hand bought a new "old style" record player with usb, and she seems to be happy with it.

Audio-Technica has always been one of the best names in turntables.

Yes, but just like phones, some do it better than others.  Better components, better build quality, better features, precision and balance and 100% accuracy with the moving parts.  Some people pay upwards of $500 just for the stylus on a turntable, and another $500 or more for the turntable itself.
