So we've all heard the advice on making sure your battery lasts as long as possible. They say that for the first several cycles you should drain it til it dies, charge til 100% and rinse and repeat several times in order for the battery to run at peak efficiency. Also, some add that you should start recharging the battery at a certain percentage.

Some swear by it, some think it's a load of crap. What do you think?

I'm inherently paranoid.  With the GN, I used to keep it plugged in all the time all the time.  And then, after a while, the battery was shot.  Is there a connection?  Maybe.  But it would probably would have degraded regardless...

With the One...and its "permanent" battery...I only charge it once it gets down around 50%.  I try to not let it dip below that, but alas, it happens.  Once it gets to around 95% I take it off the charger.

I pretty much just charge my phone at night because it will last all day. But if I manage to get it that low I'll pop it on the charger for a while. I read some where that these newer batteries don't suffer from partial charges like the old batteries did. No real need to run them dead and go to 100% I also like to reboot my phone every morning right after I take it off the charger. Keeps things running minty fresh. :-)
