Google has offered a price drop for the Nexus 4, making the device even more tempting for those looking for a cheap, relevant entry or upgrade to their Android experience.  The device is now available at $199 for the 8GB model and $249 for the 16GB.  This will place the device in an even more accessible range for those just looking for an affordable, decent device as well as hobbyists and nerds like you and I just looking for a new toy to play with.

Check the link here to go to the Play store for more info on the device and to test your impulse purchasing willpower.

Yeah, this is true. The Nexus 4 is still an attractive device, especially at this price point. This places it within reach of customers who rely on prepay services and last-last-generation devices with huge markups.

Best value in the phone market right now, bar none.

I want one!

It makes absolutely no sense for me to get one right now since I'm on Verizon....

But damn that price...for such an awesome phone... I wish I were on a gsm carrier right now I would totally rock that phone until the Nexus 5 comes out ...

Make room for the Nexus 5 :D

If the N4 worked on Verizon, I would buy this phone in a heartbeat.

I'm told AT&T takes over Alltel on the 10th. If they don't have anything I like / in my price range, this could be fun to get. I'd be really scared of breaking it though and hate using cases.

Anyone who wants a high-end device (yes I still consider the N4 a high-end device) for such a good price would be crazy not to take advantage of this deal. Hell, I might get one as a back-up phone just because of the price drop.

I just put my 16GB on Swappa for $200. You would never know I used it because it sat in the box most of the time. Funny thing is people are still paying more than that for Nexus 4's just because someone put Cyanogen on it. I don't think I would ever buy a phone that had been flashed by someone.

I digress. This only means one thing: Google is dumping inventory to prepare for the new. I'd be surprised if something wasn't announced by the end of September.

It's going to take a lot for me to give up my S4 though.

P.S. I agree with the comments about it being the best deal on the market. Solid device. Nexus Experience. No contract. >$250.

Looks like the 8GB model is gone.  So, if anyone still wants to get one, it'll be the 16GB model. This is truly an excellent deal.  Now we just have to see what they are replacing it with.  :)
