I wonder how much Kit Kat had to pay for that publicity? I wouldn't consider Kit Kat a desert personally.

True dat.

I've actually been simmering on this for a bit today, and it rubs me the wrong way they tied it to another brand.

Me either but I want one.

Of course you do lol.

I actually like the Kit Kat name better than Key lime pie.  I mean how many times have you eaten a lime pie.   I use limes but only in drinks...not pies.  It's not a lemon meringue pie which I like,  plus perhaps Google will get rid of the pea green/lime color they are using in the play store; that color makes me feel sick everytime I see it.

Now a Kit Kat.. never could get enough of them. I like what they have done with Nestle/Hershey with marketing.  As for the name I have never been one to use the Opsystem names I always stick with the numbers and version.

The version names are a humorous almost childish way to describe them but in the end what matters to me is the version and revision  numbers.  You know version 4.6.10...and....now you have me...I can relate.

Well a desert is a treat after a meal....so a kit kat is a treat you can have anytime..and you never know a Kit Kat might turn into a nice desert if you are camping in the woods or a back yard as I did when younger.

So much has been written and said about this next update and you can't help but wonder how much is speculation that might turn out to be incorrect.  I don't remember but how has it been confirmed that the next version is 4.4 and not version  5?  One of the things I am reading is that this next version will require less RAM and will run on order devices.  If this is the case will we actually need to have devices running stock Android with 2 Gig of ram?

Something to keep in mind here is that an OEM's customization of Android will require more power and available memory than stock Android.  So, you'll probably still want that 2GB of RAM on the Galaxy S5.  That being said, in a sense you're right.  I don't think we'll see anything beyond 3GB of RAM for some time.  The spec race has become stale; these phones are powerful enough.  It's all about software optimization and new technology (like fingerprint readers, camera tech, different physical key arrangements or replacements, etc...).  I am also pretty confident in saying that the OEMs feel the same way.  They know they can't just keep bumping up the specs and continue to sell, because at a certain point people are going to look at things like their new PC they just bought.  "It has 4GB of RAM, so why does my phone need the same?"

I feel like mobile tech is going to get much more innovative and exciting during the next 1.5 - 2 years.  I'm definitely looking forward to it.

I'm also excited to see what the next Samsung, HTC, Motorola, Sony and LG phones will be able to do.

No, they tasted like Kit Kats, which I'm not really a fan of...but...ANDROID, so I still ate it up, along with my $5 Google Play credit.
