A quick bit of good news for you root-and-ROMers rocking a Moto X on Verizon or AT&T.  Famed user jcase from the RootzWiki forums has achieved a temporary root on these versions of the Moto X.  He says that this method should also work on the new Droid line of phones.

There is still work to be done; root was disabled while the device was on, so there is no permanent solution yet but we'll be sure to update you when there is.

User 'jcase' (@TeamAndIRC on Twitter) also made sure to state that if you wanted to root your Moto X at some point, don't accept any OTA updates that may come your way.

Interesting. I wonder which exploit they are taking advantage of to gain access?
