If you use Hangouts a lot, you should check out the Chrome extension.

Lets your list of ongoing hangouts as well as any open conversations sit on top of any window, and slide down behind the Start menu until you begin to interact with them. so they're out of the way when necessary.  Nice to not have to have a G+ or GMail tab open anymore to use Hangouts.

No problem.  It is nice, but after using it for an extended period of time, it certainly is not perfect.  At least once throughout each day, I'd have to either close the extension or restart Chrome after it being rendered totally useless; specifically not allowing me to open any existing hangouts in the extension or even on GMail or G+ on the web.  It's -just- infrequent enough for me to keep it installed, but a nagging bug that I hope is resolved soon.
