We all know that Google is not a fan of your beloved external storage. Still, it is nice to see that they are not ignoring users who still choose to take advantage of an SD card if their device supports it. Users of Google Play Music will now be allowed to store offline music on their external SD cards, if they so choose to (and are on a supported device.) The update also offers users the ability to better share a link pointing to any track to the social network of their choice.
The SD card support is only available to those running 4.4 or higher, along with "experimental support on some older devices." Once you receive the update, just hop into your settings and the option should be available for those who meet the requirements. Hopefully, we will see availability of this feature expanded, but for now, grab the APK right down below and give it a shot for yourself. If you're not running 4.4 and it works, let us know what device and Android version you're running!
